Ooh I hadn't seen these comments earlier. It's an interesting idea but I'm not totally sure it fits in with Scottish Roundup. For one thing, I'm not sure what it would be useful for, besides alerting people to new posts. Scottish Roundup isn't a person with opinions -- it's a website collecting the disparate thoughts of many. So I'm not quite sure why a Twitter stream would be appropriate.

An alternative could be to use a hashtag that's associated with Scottish Roundup, then Twitter users would be able to search for that to see relevant tweets?

Excellent idea subrosa. Will run that Twitter suggestion by the team. I know of a number of shared access Twitter accounts it is just a matter of access to the password which could be restricted to the contributing team.

Oh, on another issue altogether, why doesn't Scottish Roundup have a Twitter address? I've searched it and had a NO result. Is it because so many contribute? Then surely there could be a Scottish Roundup account with all contributers joining Twitter.

I'm no techy, just a 'mature' woman who likes technology to work for me and not vice versa. Perhaps doctor vee or some other techies could come up with a solution. It's fine for us to Twitter this website individually but it would be better if there was ALSO a direct Twitter connection with the site. Stephen could sort this out - over to you Stephen :)
